There are many insurers offering different private health cover plans, so it’s hard to know whether you have the best deal with the right cover. Although cost is certainly important, what’s more important is that you’re receiving value for your money while still getting the cover you need. It’s always a good idea to check from time to time that you have the most competitive cover.
It is important to know that if you do decide to switch, different insurers will offer you different options. For instance, your new insurer may not cover any previous or existing conditions. It’s always a good idea to check with your new insurer or adviser exactly what options you do have.
If you decide to switch to Norwich Union Healthcare, we offer the following types of personal medical underwriting (please note that our standard policy terms and conditions will also apply and these may differ from other insurers):
Continued Medical Exclusions – each member keeps the same personal medical exclusions that applied to their previous policy.
Continued Moratorium – each member keeps their original start date from their previous policy. We will then apply our moratorium wording with effect from each member's original moratorium start date.
Medical History Disregarded – This means that any pre-existing conditions you have had will be covered providing they fall within the terms and conditions of the policy.
Contact us to discuss switching your policy and to obtain a non-obligatory quote.
