How to reduce your insurance premium

It's a legal requirement to have car insurance - not only does it protect you in the event of an accident, damage or theft, you can't tax your car without it! However, it doesn't mean you should be paying over the odds.

Arranging your car insurance policy
- DO value your car correctly.
- An overvaluation may mean a higher premium.
- DO declare your job correctly as what you do can make a big difference.
- Make sure it's your main job if you have two or more.
- DO estimate your annual mileage accurately.
- An unrealistic estimate may invalidate your policy.
- DO keep named drivers to a minimum.
