Benefits:
Enjoy the peace of mind that Safeguard brings.
- Insure up to 60% of your gross earnings to help towards covering your lifestyle needs ( up to a maximum of £120,000 per annum).
- The benefit payments are tax free* and linked to the Retail Prices Index**, which means that they automatically help keep pace with the growing cost of living.
- Receive guaranteed monthly income until you are well enough to return to work, reach the policy termination age, normal retirement age or die.
- You decide what deferred period is most suitable. So this is when you would like your payments to start. This can dovetail with existing sick pay arrangements and other insurance policies.
- Guaranteed Insurability option which allows you to increase your benefit (within specified limits) without further medical underwriting, in the event of a house move, significant home improvement, getting married/forming a civil partnership, becoming a parent, or receiving a significant salary increase on attainment of a professional qualification.
- Linked claims for recurrence of incapacity from the same cause within 12 months.
- If you want a career break (maybe to have children or return to full-time education) we give you the option to maintain cover during a break in your career, provided you return to work within 5 years.
- A cash payment (for each additional night) once you have stayed in a hospital for 7 nights, up to a maximum of 90 nights, during the deferred period.
- Rehabilitation benefit and proportionate benefits providing compensation for reduced earnings.
- Provide your family with a lump sum benefit on your death, during the first 12 months of a claim.
- Retirement sum if receiving regular benefits for the 12 months before the end of the policy.
- Waiver of your premium while in receipt of regular benefit due to claim.
- Cover for up to £12,000 a year available for full-time housepersons, and part-time workers.
- Cover whilst living or travelling abroad subject to certain limits.
