  2. Motorcycle recovery
  3. Emergency Medical treatment
  4. Your liability to third parties
  5. Excesses
  6. What isn't covered?

1. What is covered?

  • If your motorcycle is stolen or damaged by fire, lightning, explosion, or attempted theft we either:
    • Pay for your motorcycle to be repaired
    • Replace your motorcycle
    • Pay you a cash amount equal to the loss or damage

If your motorcycle is less than 6months old and was bought from new, we may replace your motorcycle with a new vehicle of the same make and specification.

We deduct an amount for wear, tear and loss of value. The most we pay is the market value of your motorcycle at the time of the loss.

If you are paying for your motorcycle under a hire-purchase or leasing agreement, we pay any claim to the owner described in that agreement. Our liability under the policy then ends.

  • If your motorcycle cannot be ridden as a result of damage insured under the policy, we pay reasonable costs for:
    • Protecting the motorcycle and removing it to the nearest repairers
    • Delivering the motorcycle back to your address in the British Isles after the repairs have been carried out

2. Motorcycle recovery

  • If your motorbike is not safe to ride after a fire, lightning, explosion, or attempted theft, call us, and we will arrange for someone to come out and help you
  • If your motorcycle cannot be made roadworthy within a reasonable time, we will take it to a repairer. This can be a repairer of your choice if this is nearer - although this may lead to delays in arranging repairs to your motorcycle

3. Emergency Medical treatment

We will reimburse any person using your motorcycle for any emergency medical treatment payments they have to make under the Road Traffic Acts.

We pay the following legal costs if they relate to an incident under this section:
