Aviva plc has announced senior management changes which willtake effect in 2006.

Mike Pemberton, group HR director, will retire in March 2006 andwill be succeeded by John Ainley, who is currently people andorganisation director, Norwich Union Life and was previously HRdirector, Aviva General Insurance. Ainley will report to RichardHarvey, group chief executive of Aviva plc and will take MikePemberton’s place on the group executive committee.

Russell Martin, currently HR director (UK & Europe) atPrudential Assurance, will take up the role of director of peopleand organisation at Norwich Union Life, with effect from 1 February2006.

Martin’s previous positions have included specialist rolesin reward and recruitment, in addition to international HRpositions in a number of sectors, including advertising, media andbanking.
