Norwich Union has appointed a new media relations manager.
Jenny Chapman has joined the media relations team at the UK'slargest insurer from the press office of two train operatingcompanies, West Anglia Great Northern (WAGN) Railway and c2cRail.
Having trained as a journalist, Jenny spent seven yearsreporting for newspapers in Essex before joining the rail industry18 months ago. Her time there saw her dealing with many majorissues, including the Hatfield tragedy which occurred on WAGN'sroute.
Jenny is delighted to be taking up her new role in Norwich,where she is working alongside Liz Nicholson on general insuranceissues.
Jenny said: 'I have joined the company at a very exciting timeas it looks to build on its role as the UK's largest insurerfollowing last year's merger.
'My career in the rail industry gave me a good grounding incrisis management but I am looking forward to getting involved withmuch more positive media relations with Norwich Union.'
Away from work, Jenny, who is 30 and lives in Colchester, Essex,with her partner Andrew, enjoys keeping fit and watchingfootball.
