Which travel cover is best for you?
If you go away more than once in the year, our Annual travel insurance policy may be better value than several Single Trip policies. It means you're covered every time you go away in twelve months, for trips up to your chosen limit (either 31, 45, 60 or 90 days).
Should you opt for a Single Trip travel insurance policy you can rest assured that you have got comprehensive cover for you and/or your family for a trip of up to 120 days.
Both our policies cover European or Worldwide destination zones plus you'll find a variety of options, including Winter Sports, Scuba Diving, Extended Golf cover, Additional Baggage cover and Business Travel which allow you to tailor our policies to match your lifestyle.
Not only that but with Norwich Union Direct Travel Insurance you have 24-hour access to our medical emergency and claims hotline.

Our travel insurance cover starts at the time of leaving your home to go on your holiday or trip and ends when you return home.
The main differences between our Annual Multi-trip and Single Trip policies are summarised below:

| Cancellation Cover: | Begins from the cover start date, or date of booking each holiday or trip whichever is later. | Begins on the date you buy the policy. |
| UK cover: | Automatically covered where at least 2 nights are spent in pre-booked holiday accommodation. | Available as a destination option. |
Note: For Annual Multi-trip travel insurance policies - trips booked during the period of one insurance and continuing into the next period of insurance will only be covered if your travel insurance contract has been renewed.
Both our travel insurance policies provide the following:
- FREE UK Motor Breakdown cover through Norwich Union Rescue if you breakdown on the way to or from the airport or ferry terminal in the UK.
- Automatic cover for some Leisure and Sports Activities.

Are you eligible for cover?
Our Annual Multi-trip and Single Trip travel insurance policies only cover:
- Individuals aged up to 69 years (policyholders must be aged 16 years or over).
- Insured persons under 16 years old when they are travelling with an adult named on the policy.
- Up to 8 additional people on the same policy.
- Trips commencing less than one year in advance (Single Trip).
